Mothering Sunday: I’ll continue to support policies, initiatives for women upliftment – Hon Kashamu
Hon Rasheed Kashamu has reaffirmed his commitment to advocate for policies and initiatives that would better the lots of women in Ijebu North 1 State Constituency and beyond. The lawmaker, in a message to commemorate Mothering Sunday, obtained by News Contact Online, described motherhood as one of the most noble callings in life, and that mothers are the backbone of homes.
He noted that only a society that supports and honours women who produce greater future leaders. Kashamu appreciated the sacrifices of mothers as the first teachers in their different homes for inculcating good values into their children.
The statement reads partly, “On the auspicious occasion of this year’s Mothering Sunday, I join in celebrating the strength, love and immeasurable sacrifices of our mothers.
“Motherhood is one of the most noble callings in life, and our mothers are the pillars of our homes. They are the first teachers of our children and the quiet architects of the values that shape us. Through their patience, resilience and unwavering dedication, they nurture families and build the moral foundation of our society.
” I am particularly proud of the women and mothers across Ijebu Igbo and our entire constituency, whose daily sacrifices continue to sustain our homes and strengthen our communities. Your courage, wisdom and hard work do not go unnoticed, and today I celebrate every one of you.
“On this special occasion, I reaffirm my commitment to supporting policies and initiatives that uplift women and empower mothers, which I have vigorously pursued as the representative of the good people of Ijebu North state constituency 1.
“I strongly believe that a society that honours and supports its mothers is a society that secures a better future for its children.
