HRK 2027: Experience, Capacity And A Clear Purpose For People Focused Legislation

Hon. Rasheed Kashamu has never been one to stay on the sidelines when it matters. As a member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, he has shown that leadership must be present, be vocal and deliver results. In just three years, that approach has translated into tangible impact as he has constructed boreholes in underserved communities, new classroom blocks furnished for better learning, solar-powered street lighting in key areas and initiated empowerment programmes for youths and market women. These are real interventions that speak directly to the everyday needs of the people.

Aside from constituency projects, he has also shown seriousness in legislative work. He drew attention to the need to revive Apoje Farms in Ijebu Igbo as a viable economic asset, while contributing to key laws that address pressing societal concerns, including the prohibition of forcible land occupation and stronger measures against violence and fraud tied to property disputes. He also played a role in advancing the Scavengers and Waste Dealers Regulation Law. Taken together, these efforts point to a lawmaker who understands both policy and people and how to connect the two.

Having worked closely with communities across Ijebu North, Ijebu East and Ogun Waterside, Hon. Kashamu brings a grounded understanding of local realities. That experience now positions him for a broader responsibility at the national level, where both competence and courage are required. The Federal Constituency needs a representative who is not only accessible but effective. Someone who can speak clearly, act decisively and push consistently for the interests of the people.

Hon. Rasheed Kashamu fits that profile. Young, agile and articulate, he combines the energy of a new generation with the discipline of tested leadership. His aspiration is built on a record, not rhetoric and it offers the people of Ijebu North, Ijebu East and Ogun waterside Federal constituency, a credible path to stronger, more responsive representation in Abuja.
