Ogun Lawmaker Kashamu Picks Hospital Bill Of 11-Year-Old Girl

The Minority Whip and Member representing Ijebu North Constituency 1 at the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. AbdulRasheed Kashamu has picked the hospital bill of an 11-year-old member of his constituency, Miss Adewale Faith.

The young girl was diagnosed with having some lumps around her private part. Doctors who diagnosed her at Motayo Clinic, Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State described the medical condition as an “inguinal hernia”, for which surgery was required.

It had caused severe pain for the young girl and made life unbearable for her. When the situation was brought to the attention of Honourable Kashamu, he sent his aides to liaise with the surgeon at the hospital, Dr. Olaniun A.O., and immediately paid the sum of N130,000 that was needed for the surgery to be performed.

The surgery has been successfully performed and the patient is recovering well. The father of the young girl, Mr. Ogunyemi Adewale, has expressed gratitude to God for using Honourable Kashamu to bring succor to their ailing child and prayed for God’s continued blessings and protection upon him.

Honourable Kashamu is the son of the late Senator Buruji Kashamu, who was a renowned philanthropist and political icon. The lawmaker has since continued with his father’s philanthropic gestures and assisted many in several ways.

In December last year and early this year, Hon. Kashamu assisted two patients, Mr. Rasaq Oshokoya and Mrs. Abosede Sulaiman, whose health has since been restored and are now hale and hearty, living their normal lives.
