2027: Together, Let’s Take Ijebu North / Ijebu East / Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency Forward — Hon. Rasheed Kashamu

My decision to contest for the Federal House of Representatives seat is driven by a deep, unshaken commitment to the people I currently serve and the larger constituency I seek to represent. From my experience in the Ogun State House of Assembly, where I currently represent the good and great people of Ijebu North State Constituency I, I have come to understand one simple truth which is; leadership must translate into real impact. At the national level, my resolve is to champion laws and initiatives that will directly improve the lives of our people and open up new opportunities for our communities.

Let’s be reminded that this journey is about continuity and expansion. Beyond lawmaking, I am determined to use the office to attract meaningful federal presence, projects, infrastructure and interventions that will uplift Ijebu North, Ijebu East and Ogun Waterside. Our people deserve more than promises; they deserve visible progress, and that is what I stand for.

I am particularly passionate about empowering our youths, supporting our women and ensuring that the elderly are not left behind. Through deliberate empowerment programmes and strategic partnerships, we can ease the economic challenges facing many of our households and restore hope where it has diminished.

One of the gaps I intend to close is the distance between the people and governance. Representation should not feel far away or out of reach. I will maintain an open, transparent and people-centred approach that keeps your voices at the heart of every decision, without compromising the core duty of effective lawmaking.

But this vision cannot be achieved alone. It requires your belief, your support and ultimately, your vote. Together, we can build a stronger, more connected and more prosperous constituency. Together, we can take our place where we truly belong.
